Hello everyone
My present aviary has is covered with chickenwire but i want to use a wire mesh isntead, however I'm not sure what size mesh is appropriate for use with budgies There is alot of conflicting information on the forums and websites I have visited. I was hoping that some of you might have experience of building aviaries and could advise me of the right materials to get. I want to know whats the maximum safe spacing so thats they can't escape but also that they might get stuck in . As far as the other sites ive visited have said anything larger than 1/2" by 1/2" is too big. is this the case? any help would be greatly appreciated

1 inch x half an inch is fine. Half inch x half inch is also fine.

Hello again. I have managed to source 3/4" by 3/4" wire mesh. would this be ok? I wouldn't use that it is too big they could get their head fast, 1 inch x half is best.........

I was recommended this site: www.hillsofdevon.co.uk/ while building my aviary and this is where I bought the mesh from Good stuff and really quick delivery.
