i posted this picture last season the bird in the fore ground is the one in question , the answers i got was that it was an out of condition hen, her cere is still the same colour this season and has never changed , the bird is in an open flight with other cocks and hens she or he has not been interested in pairing with any other bird, nest boxes are busy with other pairs but he or she is only interested in doing its own thing, perhaps its a snooty hen and not interested in my common cocks lol, Attachments:

Maybe some of the other members could give advice on trying to get her into breeding condition if you post in the breeding part of the forum.

Just like women. I have a similar, here... www.budgerigarsforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=budgiebreeding&action=display&thread=873

The sexual orientation of birds is just as complicated as it is in the human & animal. No amount of supplements will have any affect. She may try to pair with another hen. She does look quite butch doesn't she? Yours B.J.

Hi Steve i have had hens occasionally that never seem to come into breeding condition,i am told it can be a liver malfunction, the only thing you can do is to try it and hope for the best, as she looks to be a good hen, best of luck with her.
