It's great that they can make themselves known. Clever Buddy.

My little Buddy loves me! This morning, I uncovered the front of the cage and talked to them as I normally do. Tweetie Pie gave me his normal "I need coffee" look while Buddy was chirping away. Then Buddy turned around, spread his tail feathers and waggled his tail at me. He them jumped onto the cage bars at my face and kept chirping. I put my face close and he reached out to kiss my glasses.

Every once in awhile, Tweetie Pie has to let me know that he is in charge of everything. Yesterday, Tweetie Pie was resting on a perch with his head in his back. Energetic Buddy wanted to play but Tweetie Pie was ignoring him. Buddy went over to a toy to play with it. I held up my arm and called him. Buddy flew onto my arm and started kissing my thumbnail, feathers fluffed and eyes pinning. Tweetie Pie lifted his head and let out a little tweet. Buddy flew back to him but Tweetie Pie ignored him and went back to his nap. I held up my arm, called Buddy and he came over again to kiss my thumbnail. Tweetie Pie looked up, tweeted and Buddy went to him only to be ignored again. Buddy came back to me and we went through this cycle a couple more times. I decided to leave them be and did some house cleaning. Is Tweetie Pie passive/aggressive or what? He didn't want to play with Buddy and he didn't want Buddy to play with me. Well, I did get Buddy to be a friend to Tweetie Pie.

It's interesting that Buddy responded like that. He's a good boy for going back to see Tweetie when asked, even if Tweetie Pie didn't give him any attention.

The other day was very hot, so in the afternoon I was running around the house in my skivvies. Whenever I go in the kitchen, Buddy and sometimes Tweetie Pie will fly over and sit on my back, preen the moles on my neck and chew my hair. I went into the kitchen, Buddy came, landed on my bare back and promptly slid off. He tried it again, same result and then flew to the top of the cage and yelled at me! Guess I need to find a lightweight shirt to wear on hot days.

Similar used to happen when I would appear in front of the budgies without my glasses. Mr Hibs had a few futile attempts to land on my face, they didn't end well. Now though, if I'm not wearing my glasses, the budgies just give me stony looks.

How very mean of you to not wear suitable clothing for landing, lol

Yuki and Pippin will be happily chatting away to each other, Indie's off minding his own business then sees the other two together, flies over to chase Pippin away, and then leaves to go back to what he was doing so Yuki's left alone. It's no wonder Yuki talks to random objects! loz I have had Gwen collide with my face numerous times. I ended up buying a pair of glasses because when we first got her she would constantly jump from my hand to my head, via my eyes.
