They are gorgeous boys. Glad they are getting on well. Criswell was fond of nibbling the curtains too.

When Buddy gets on my arm, he likes to walk up to my elbow and chew on the hem of my shirt. Since I don't have curtains, I guess that'll have to do for him.

Just as you get the pie dish out of the cupboard 🥰 That's definitely one for the calendar! I suspect they know that throwing in a few adorable moments like this will allow them to get away with murder These buds are not daft!

So we have been having a fair bit of cross budgie shouting. Finlay often telling Barney to back off. Not that he necessarily listens but at least Finlay is telling him🤣
There is also feeding going on. I 'think' Barney is pestering Finlay to feed him. He bashes his beak and they almost seem to open each others beaks wide as if they are beak wrestling. Is this Barney being the boss and demanding the underling feeds his royal Highness? Is that normal? Just trying to understand the dynamic as I've not really watched budgies interact before and whether there is anything I should watch out for.
Finlay takes an age to eat. He seems quite slow at sorting seeds out, and picky as well, whereas Barney wolf's seed down. This often means Barney will come and interfer with Finlay eating as he is always finished first. I do on occasion let Barney out while Finlay is eating so he can do so in peace!

Someone wants to be a green budgie when they grow up. Peer pressure to eat vegetables seems to be the key 🤣

Peer pressure is definitely the way to go. The new ones take to things much quicker when they see the others eating.

Swing wars have started. Barney, who has let's face it never shown any interest at all in a swing, let alone ever contemplated sleeping on one, is not happy that Finlay really likes the swing. Now Barney wants the swing, simply because Finlay has it. Same extends to daytime. If Finlay wants to play on the swing then Barney gets there first and breaks it for him...

Every evening we have swing squabbles. The boys have a tree swing that has four perches on it and I have an extra wide swing that takes too as well, so enough for six and yet the five boys have to have a few discussions over who roosts where, which means they sit wherever Otis and Louie allow. 🙄 I’m thinking of adding another swing in the evenings. Jasper has never slept on the swing and prefers a corner but my late Gaia always rocked herself off to sleep on the swing. Have you got space for a second swing blueelephant?

ariella plenty of space for another swing. I just need to get to the pet shop and fork out a whole £1 for another one! I'm contemplating hanging it in the centre of the cage further from the walls and perches. Barney only ever used the swing if he could step onto it. Finlay meanwhile will fly and land on it. It's funny how they influence each other. I made a ladder of short perches up one side of the cage and Finlay hopped up each one straight away. Barney meanwhile climbed up the cage bars between them. Then today for the first time I saw Barney hop up them all.

I agree, they do tend to copy one another, whether from interest to try something new or just determination that they’re not missing out! So much fun to watch.

My Tweetie Pie also never showed any interest in a swing. He always liked a perch high up in the cage and in the corner. Buddy claimed the swing from day one to sleep on and Tweetie Pie was content to let him have it. In the last 3 or 4 days they've been arguing about the swing when I cover them at night. Tweetie Pie seems to have won the swing war. I've ordered another swing.

tweetiepiesmom you might need to stop letting Tweetie Pie on the forum to read about what Barney gets up to. He's clearly a bad influence 🤣
