They look like mischief, Ron. Is Missi a papillon or a mixed breed with papillon? Probably nothing of the sort…

She’s lovely. Who gets to groom her? I have a shichon (Shih Tzu x Bichon) and share ownership of a pickle of a pug with one of my sons. The Shichon (known as Zuchons in the states) are excellent therapy dogs and he has been amazing for my son who has autism. He has a very different relationship with him and has helped in so many ways. He has his breakfast in the morning and then heads straight back upstairs and lets himself into his best bud’s room and gets up on his bed and the pair of them snooze on as the room is darkened with blackout curtains. So I get on with my jobs and seeing to the animals before going to wake them both up. He is my baby and is very much a ‘hairy hooman’ not a dog! I clip his hair every 5 weeks and he gets the full spa treatment to keep on top of his coat so it doesn’t knot, but the benefit is no shedding…unlike Little Miss Puglet!

hi ariella , Sorry the title was meant to say past and present and thought I had edited it in time, didnt mean to mislead anyone, she was my wife's and it took the 2 of us to groom her a nightmare for tangles and knots but she was a lovely affectionate wee lady who was spoilt rotten and loved it but unforseen circumstances meant we took residency/kinship of our grandaughter and Missi didnt like that at all, we persevered for a few years but the biting and behavior got worse so she went to stay with a family friend who keeps and shows Papillons and who has the experience to deal with those problems. Hated it as felt we were giving up on her and she's family but she has a great life now so maybe it was for the best. Had a quick google for shichon they are adorable, sounds like they have a very special relationship . Love that description hairy hooman My wife had a bichon when we met who was very much a one lady dog who hated me at first but we became pals eventually and when we were out in the car he used to lie across my shoulders against the headrest sticking his head out the window
