Since I've liked some pictures of birds on facebook I'm now getting loads more and I don't mind at all. I've seen all sorts of birds from all over the world that I've never seen before and I'm really enjoying it. There is such a huge diversity of birds - colour, size, shape. It has improved my Facebook experience and it's very relaxing and pleasant, unlike my OH's facebook which is all politics and arguing I also get lots of pictures of bear cubs from a charity that rescues orphaned bears, other nature related posts and Calvin and Hobbes cartoons. And some updates from friends too!

They're incredible. I still think our UK birds are lovely too even though they're not so fancy

Oh, I know this little guy quite well - our splendid blue wren; one of many fairy wrens. All very cute and quite cheeky.

Me three. I love watching the birds and have two feeding stations, which reminds me that I need to go out and check there’s no blocked feeders as we had a spot of rain. I would be mesmerised by a blue wren and the rest of the ethereal sounding fairy wrens. I’m not on Facebook but I do have many boards on Pinterest and one of them is on Nature. The stunning colours around the world of flora and fauna never cease to blow me away.

And a more local species. I get goldfinches in my garden but none of my pictures are as good as this
