I hope that all of you are safe and healthy,
Is it safe to leave lemon water for birds overnight (24 hours)? Or does it spoil ? is a teaspoon for every 200 ml a good amount? I really appreciate your input, I actually saw it in a video but I thought I would ask my trusted fellow bird keepers here first.

Curious - I haven't read about giving lemon water to pet birds. What is it good for/meant to treat?

I can’t see how it wouldn’t be safe to leave overnight if you are using actual lemon juice in their drinking water. Lemons, and their juice, are slightly acidic so I see it working in the same way as ACV. If this is a branded product, I ask why buy that when the ACV would appear to do the same job. The benefit that I can see there might be is the additional Vit C that your ACV may not have.

Yes Hezz, as you said, it’s for the (Vit C), the breeder suggested it and he also uses ACV, I’m planning on using fresh lemons, maybe once a week, I’ve been looking for more ways to add to their diet for better health benefits recently, and I would appreciate any input 🙂

Thank you. I wonder if they'd get the same amount of Vit C if you'd give them a section of orange to nibble or a piece of strawberry? I wonder if one of the herbs has a good amount of Vit C?

Lemon would be better than orange if you were going to offer segments. Lemons have about a quarter of the sugar of oranges. While my conure will eat citrus, I’ve not had any luck with the budgies. Putting juiced lemon in the water sounds like a good idea to me.
