Hi everyone hope that you’re all doing well and healthy 🐥🙂
I was going through some old posts about feeding mint leaves, and I saw that Hezz mentioned (seeding grass) I’m wondering what it is, and how can I do it?
i appreciate all the help and information that I’ve received from this amazing forum over the years, and my birds surely are thankful as well ❤️🐥

I grow my grass in a pot outdoors for my two little guys but I also live where the temperature is fairly moderate year round. Mostly I grow wheat grass. I feed my guys the grass which they really like. Some of the grass continues to grow until it produces seed heads. My guys go crazy for that! Other people on this forum live where the grass grows wild in unpolluted areas and they pick the seed heads in the wild or their budgies.

Not sure you’d have much access to seeding grasses, lemonora, in KSA. I’m talking wild meadow, pasture, field grasses, the sort of things that budgies would naturally feed on in the wild. Some members have bought kits that have everything in them to grow these grasses, but I couldn’t tell you who they were or whether the kits were worth while.

I need a geography lesson - where is KSA? I started growing grass for my guys using a cat grass kit from Amazon. It contains all the grasses that budgies like: www.amazon.com/dp/B074SZ17C7?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-ypp-ro-model_ypp_ro_model_k0_1_7&&crid=2KFWKFQ9IJLWK&&sprefix=cat+graIt worked good but I tended to over water and then the soil would mold. Then I planted the seeds in a pot outside which worked better for me. I have also bought wheat grass in the produce section of my grocery store. People who juice buy it so the store almost always has a supply. I also plant that outside in pots. You might have success planting it in pots and growing it inside - just don't over water like I did.
