Halloween is when we usually got all those treats! We'd go out Tick or Treating and come home with a bag full of those candies. I'd forgotten about the white cigarettes with the pink tip. Did you have the red wax lips and white wax buck teeth? How about the tiny wax bottles shaped like coca cola bottles and filled with sweet syrup? We also had the root beer flavored hard candy shaped like a barrel. I still see those occasionally. Those I liked.

Lol good for you. I had Sindy I was a Sindy girl too. I had the house with the lift up the side and the garage and horse stables. I had a teeny bedroom so it was set up on the landing and I’d spend hours playing with it. Action Man was Sindy’s boyfriend.

My sister had the house with the lift. My brother showed her how to put Sindy on one of the floors and let the lift go, knocking her head off. Lol good for you. I had Sindy I was a Sindy girl too. I loved black jacks and fruit salads. You can still get them and they taste almost the same as I remember. I also liked the white candy cigarettes and jelly teddy bears (2 for 1p, or maybe 4 for 1p to start with). I liked the pink candy shrimps and yellow bananas. I also liked drumsticks and those packets of tiny round swizzel sweets. Love hearts were good too. It was great how many little sweets you could get for 10p. I liked dolly mixture too.
I have porridge most mornings and I put some salt in for seasoning when I cook it but serve it with sugar. I make it with half milk half water. I accidentally made it with all water the other day and it wasn't great. If I have any blueberries I'll put a few of those on top.

I am going to get myself monstered for this, but … porridge is just the pits! . I have bad memories of porridge as a kid, it’s traumatised me for life so don’t pick on me, okay?? My mother made it badly and I was forced to eat it, boarding school was the same story. At least at home I could sneak it to the cats behind Mum’s back. Bananas we can still buy; never did like those either. . Hate that fake banana flavour.

Big porridge fan here, huge. I could eat it day in, day out but it's got to be so thick you can stand your spoon up in it. Probably your worst nightmare Hezz I remember spending my pocket money in the sweetshop on a Saturday morning, taking ages to choose my 1p and 1/2p sweets for a 10p mix up. The woman serving me must have had the patience of a saint! This thread has reminded me of other much loved sweets too like Toffo's, Spangles, Milk Bottles, Jelly Tots, Sherbet Pips, Galaxy Counters, liquorish pipes and catherine wheels, strawberry and lemon bon bons, the crinkly gold bag of buttons inside a Cadburys buttons Easter egg and the highly coveted, much requested and never received red plastic Cadbury's vending machine which dispensed a teeny tiny bar of Dairy Milk when you put in a 2p coin. Now I've made myself hungry

What about cherry lips. I loved black jacks too, rainbow drops, sherbet dips, chocolate limes and coconut mushrooms which I know you can still get.
