Mr Hibs and Eeyore just had a head-on collision, thankfully at slow speed. Eeyore was coming in for a landing, on top of Mr Hibs because Eeyore can be a git and Mr Hibs chose a poor escape vector. Can you get contact lenses for budgies?

Glad no one was hurt! I have seen budgies flying about in a very large aviary and one would land on top of another as both were going in to land. No one hurt, maybe because when they were landing they were slowing down already.

I also have a vacancy for a traffic controller just for one bird! I had wondered that if i had another bird for Olive just for out of cage time, she could learn not to crash into to the walls?!

I'm looking forward to the time when all 4 of my budges will have their flight feathers....hadn't ever considered this.

The buds rarely fly into me. Barney seems to consider me a helicopter landing pad or equivalent. He's been known to fly straight into my face and cling onto my nose. My nose isn't that big in case you are wondering. He doesn't crash into other budgies though. Just me. I'm special 🤣

The (male) budgies land on me often in a deliberate fashion. They are usually able to avoid crashing or clipping me by accident. Mr Hibs' usual move is to land on my face/nose or on my glasses, his preferred option.

Willow lands on my head if he wants attention. He also uses it as a way to stop me leaving the room as he knows won't leave with him on me. Depending on how determined he is we can go through multiple sequences of attempted leave/land on head/return to perch/attempted leave etc before I have to get another family member to body block him so that I can escape. Sorry, I couldn't get to the door/phone etc, I was being held hostage by my budgie
