I am biased too, he loves the camera and the camera loves him I couldn't get the camera to focus on him rather than me though. I was trying to be in the background but it wouldn't let me! I know I’m biased but a gorgeous boy couldn’t resist having his photo taken

So, what you are saying that is when he reaches maturity his eyes wont be red anymore because he's a recessive pied? But if they are after 12 months then he's likely to be a fallow I'll keep an EYE on it. Would that not explain it? ? I’m saying nothing about him being fallow. His eyes aren’t obviously red/ruby now, unlike the bird in Nev’s thread, and at seven months you should be able to see an iris ring at least beginning if one was going to develop. Fallows have an obvious red/ruby eye, not a plum eye which can be hard to discern from a normal dark eye.

Okay Hezz! My eyes are obviously a bit crap cos I didn't realise that Daisy had red eyes and she clearly does. JoJo's were not obvious either and she was an albino. Max is definitely not developing an iris ring though. Sorry, didn't realise Fallows had one. Anyway So, what you are saying that is when he reaches maturity his eyes wont be red anymore because he's a recessive pied? It's possible to lose track when you have a lot of them running and flying around 😁

Apparently there are two types of fallow - German and English - (why they can’t come up with better names for these mutations, who knows). German fallows get an iris ring, English do not.

Ha ha. Maybe they speak German! "Ich bin keine Brache! Ich bin ein rezessiver Scheck, du Taubheit!" Apparently there are two types of fallow - German and English - (why they can’t come up with better names for these mutations, who knows). German fallows get an iris ring, English do not.
