Herman playing with his shreddable: I decided to film Herman playing and received an unexpected bonus - Herman doing his wing & leg stretches. Unfortunately, he didn't do his fist-clenching thing. Another time, perhaps. 1drv.ms/v/s!AnyoyWilEZ_Xh4Itwn9Sh-nxeB-9Rg?e=549e9j

Herman is really adorable! My two do that stretching also, Buddy more than Tweetie Pie. I call it "birdie yoga"!

He's lovely and calm for a new budgie isn't he!

He's wonderful, and it's amazing how at home he looks already

"Haha, I'll hold hands but I am not going anywhere with you." Herman letting me down gently. So far this morning, he's happy to stay on his beloved swing. Edit: Got him to the cage door just now but he flew back to his swing. Budgies are a puzzle, within an enigma and wrapped in cute fluffy feathers.

Image quality is very poor as it was very low light but if you crank your speakers up to Eleven, you might just hear Herman teaching himself to sing! 1drv.ms/v/s!AnyoyWilEZ_Xh4I4LqAeezhG-H2vsA?e=KqQYDnAnd some publicity shots for the little star! He spent nearly half an hour on my finger, he was very happy there this morning. Yesterday he only left his cage once, briefly. He was being a proper homebody yesterday. I love him

Forgot to mention, Herman gave me a spontaneous little kiss on the nose this morning! He's a super-cutie.

He is just adorable. I can't believe how chilled he is and how he's taking everything in his stride. What a little cutie

Herman had an odd day today. He spent all morning and most of the afternoon avoiding my hand - he wanted to stay in his cage, the little homebody. Last session of the afternoon, he consented to step up and we went on a tour of his room ... culminating in that last pic of him on the aloe vera, which I do rather like (in case I haven't mentioned it ) I don't believe he was scared of me, I put it down to the first beginnings of wilfulness and Herman starting to want to make his own choices as to what he does with his time.

My little Buddy was hand raised - no mum or dad in his life. When I got him, he was so tame and would hop on a finger without hesitation. Once I introduced him to Tweetie Pie, he developed his own will and stopped stepping up. Now, he'll fly to me and sit on my shoulder or sit on my arm playing if he's "in the mood".

Herman was tame right out of the gate but now it can be hard to get him on my hand if he's in his cage. Outside of the cage, he'll step up willingly but today he wouldn't allow me to put him back in his cage. In the end, maybe three hours or so out in the room and he was famished. He let me re-cage him then!
Herman can hear the other budgies and they call to each other oftem but I am the only member of the flock he sees or who sees him. For now.
