Hi guys I know we have only had Loki for 1 week now, but he really does not seem interested in any of his toys. We have them all hanging around in his cage, quite colourful with bells etc, but he doesn't touch them at all. Has anyone got any tips on how to get him interested in them so that he plays with them and becomes more active? TIA

I would say that beautiful Loki is still getting used to his new cage set up and a week isn’t very long. My Charlie took a while before he played with toys and even now doesn’t have a lot of interest in many of them. He has a favourite and that’s it’s disco ball with bell…probably because it’s shiny. Give Loki time I am sure he will get more confident…… I see he has been out of his cage, how was he then?

As he becomes more settled in his environment, he will begin to relax and show interest in the things around him. It doesn’t hurt to play with things with him though, jingle his bells, rattle his toys, put him on a ladder/swing, hide bits of millet in toys to give him a point of interest.

Thank you Ladybird and Hezz He actually played with one of his toys today YAY!! We were rattling them around last night, it seems that may have had some impact. He is really good when he is out. He now sits on our shoulders, he sits there nibbling on my hair when on my shoulder and when on my husbands shoulder he nibbles his neck LOL! He is very good at getting on our finger too when we say "up"
