Hello everyone I got a female budgie about a month ago I've been working with her to tust me Its been going good I got as far as her jumping on my hand or sit on my finger to eat millets But I made a big mistake and clipped her wings thinking i could tame her better But now i realize it was a mistake i wish i never did it cause now she doesn't really trust me she will still eat millet when i hold it with my finger but she won't jump on my hand anymore It just seems like we went backwards Do you think she will get better again I would appreciate some feedback I'm so disappointed

You have taken away her only form of escape from predators, and you are a predator in the eyes of a budgie, so wing clipping is almost guaranteed to lead to a reduction of trust. You need to start building up the trust bank again, with lots of treats, winking, blinking, talking quietly and generally doing nothing that causes her to be afraid of you. You have to work at her pace; this cannot be rushed, if you push her beyond what she is willing to accept for now you will further undermine what little trust is left.
Start back at the basics, get her eating her millet out of your hand again, make sure she is happy to do so before trying to get her to step onto your hand for the treat. Work with her as many times as possible during the day but for no more than about 10 minutes each time. Always end on a positive note for her, eg a little treat, but if you feel yourself getting frustrated, leave her alone immediately. She will pick up on your mood and react accordingly.

Good luck. Hopefully by the time her feathers grow back, she will feel more secure and learn to trust you because she wants to.
