I have never had a cannula flush that didn't sting to be honest. They seem to try and do it as fast as they can.

Well I think it's gone now because it's leaking but if they don't know that until morning then they might as well review me before stabbing me again, and I might just refuse. Can't deal with more needles for a while.
So grumpy nurse saying not to change my dressing too often makes me wonder if I did something wrong at home. I've never really had to do surgical wound care.

I'm sure you did nothing wrong. Surely it being cleaner wouldn't make an infection happen? It's immaterial anyway, you are where you are and over thinking wont change that. I'm an over thinker myself

It's the exposure to the air whenever you uncover it.
I'm so done with this now.

I feel your pain. In a way I suppose the stuff is better out than in.
You didn’t do anything wrong, it’s easy for incisions to get infected.
I hope it starts drying tomorrow so you can go home.
Just scowl at grumpy features

Ira you should know never to let a doctor try to take blood, or give injections. They are poops at it! Resist and repeat until you get the phlebotomist or the nurse with enough experience to be confident but not too old to be jaded ((think Mm Britchface). Rather than waste your baguette, sic the pigeon onto her - he’s probably got some gang members hiding in another handy cupboard.

I will use the baguette to pay the pigeons. "Fly, my mottled blue friends!" It's amazing how much fear a flapping pair of wings instills.
On to oral antibiotics and should be home tomorrow at the latest with a pack of dressings for any ongoing oozies.
Taking bets on whether housemate X's mint plant has survived without me watering it.

Yeah!!! Take it easy and let others do things for you. To be safe, don't pick up anything heavier than a tea cup.

Great news that you're home. You'll feel much better after a night's sleep in your own bed. Get lots of rest
How is the mint plant doing?
