What I want to know is, why was everything made with right-handed people in mind....what about the rest of us who are left handed, it's so frustrating at times (still after all these years!) I still find myself putting things in the kitchen right-handed for my hubby....dur....I've been brain washed!

I think ear buds would have to be the worst. If I see a knot I have to get it out, much to the annoyance of my son!

I'm also left handed, had to give up writing with a fountain pen at school as the ink was always dragged across the page and my hand! It's definitely easier to be right handed as most things are indeed designed that way around. I think cables and wires go into knots to fully ensure the word "chore" is exploited to it's full meaning! It must be part of the production process.... The other thing is keys that get tangled into each other and the key ring and stay properly wedged like that as you pull and shake trying to release them. You couldn't do that to them if you tried... or create the complex knots in the cables either....

Ear buds? how can an ear bud get a knot in it? Ahh but I've just googled and they are what I (we?) would call head phones? Or is that an obsolete term to younger ears

Jean, Jean, Jean.......... head phones are just so 20 century! The whole idea has compacted into almost nothing, and we are left with this little piece of equipment the size of your little finger-nail that fits into your ear itself - hence the name. Everyone gets around wired for sound now, try having a conversation with another without getting their attention first. And kids are the worst - I think THEY do it on purpose!

We've come full circle now and the big headphones are back in vogue again. The ear buds are so very 2010.

Ah, I have both and those little things keep falling out of my shell like ears so I prefer headphones. Mind I don't walk around with them plugged in, mine are just for indoors when I'm listening to music - at my laptop or bed time.

I still have Gaz translate for me when I don't understand something or an accent that I am not sure of.....and not to use the word "pants" in public.... All the cables behind the computer is our worst problem.....it is amazing that something sophicated needs so many cables....
