I'm so sorry you lost Tutu. I'm sure he had a wonderful life with you and his feathery friends.
As everyone has said, what you do after they pass is quite personal and different for all of us. I have mine cremated and I keep their ashes. My first bird Eric has an ornate box, but everyone after is in a wicker pouch as the boxes would have taken up a lot of space. It's expensive, but it's how I deal with things.

I'm so sorry, fly high little one. Just buried Pip in the garden with the 4 other budgies. He is in a tin filled with tissues and sealed and put in a plastic bag. It is hard and very quiet.

What is Tutu's sister's name? She will get over her loss in time, I'm sure. My Eeyore lost his beloved pal Patch recently and there were a couple of very hard day's afterwards but Eeyore has pretty much recovered himself now. It's harder for us humans, I feel.

Her name is Elsa and as you said, it seems that we take it harder than they do she is getting distracted from calling and looking for him by Homer (thankfully) thanks for sharing your story

I'm glad Elsa is coping a little bit better now. It's horrible when they keep calling for their friend, and it does make the sadness for us even worse. As other have said, she will adapt to the change. My boy Dexter is currently on his own after losing one of his friends last autumn and another in the spring, and after a couple of weeks when he was very quiet and timid he's back to his usual self now.

Tutu just passed away on my chest this is the first bird I lose can someone tell me fast how to bury him is it ok to wrap him With one of my cotton white shirts then in a cardboard box then wrap the box with another shirt and dig a deep grave so cats don’t dig him up I don’t know if this is what’s supposed to be done Sorry for your loss. When my budgie died a few months ago. I dug a hole about a foot deep and put my budgie in a cardboard box. To keep cats away from the grave, i put some Jeyes fluid on top, the smell will keep any animal away.

I am sorry that you've lost Tutu. When I could, I used to bury my birds. I would dig a hole as deep as I could and after wrapping them in a paper towel I would bury them, probably with something that they liked. When my last bird, Dewey, died a few months ago, I had her cremated and scattered her ashes at the base of a tree in the garden. Now the area has a nice collection of daisies, I like to think that they are Dewey's daisies.

I'm so sorry for your loss lemonora. I'm glad that Elsa is starting to adapt to the change, these things always take a little while I think. Take care of yourself and fly high little Tutu x
