My husband and I occasionally play board games. He found this one called "Wingspan" that we're considering buying in the future. The tagline is "Attract a beautiful and diverse collection of birds to your wildlife reserve" You are bird enthusiasts—researchers, bird watchers, ornithologists, and collectors—seeking to discover and attract the best birds to your network of wildlife preserves. Each bird extends a chain of powerful combinations in one of your habitats (actions). It even has little coloured plastic eggs and features over 170 birds. Sounds like a lot of fun. At one point we had a lot of the expansions, but there were so many cards that it became ridiculous. There also didn't seem to be much benefit to fighting such hefty monsters! So we narrowed it down to just the main board and a couple of expansions. It still takes a long time to play. We don't play many games since having Eve, but I am sure we'll start again at some point. You should all be grateful. I'd insist on everyone playing Talisman! 😁 |

I then spent 30-40 minutes setting up the four boards and all the card decks, etc. She won the game after ten minutes through a truly flukey set of chances via the Talisman Dungeon. I laughed ... but it wasn't funny 🤣 |

Marianne Marlow we have wingspan. It's an excellent game. I'd highly recommend it! We also have the European and Oceania expansion sets to go with it. Of these we prefer the European one. Playing with both expansions added into the game is just a bit too much. The automna or single player version of the game is also good if you need your wingspan fix and no one else wants to play! There is also an app version of wingspan. We don't have that, but I have wondered if that would allow you to 'meet' and play specific friends online or if you can only play random other players. If anyone finds that out let me know! I'm always up for playing wingspan 😊

blueelephant I hope Finlay doesn't get any ideas about the eggs But at the moment, Barney seems more interested in them. I'm glad you're enjoying the game, it looks really good. I had a look at the app but it's £8.99 and it has mixed reviews. Some people say it's quite glitchy.
