Great ideas for food too, thank you all. They had broccoli, carrot and red pepper on a skewer a few days ago and the broccoli was a hit the others not so but I will try long thin strips of carrot next to see if that makes it more interesting than a chuck...they didn;t like it grated either. They had Mint yesterday and loved it although Sam had a little bit of a runny tum today it seems to have cleared up already.

I peel a carrot and half it down the middle and peg up the two halves, my two love it that way.
It's trial and error until you find out the way they prefer it.
I wouldn't give them a big variety all on the one day, maybe that's why he had runny poops, spread what you give them over the week.

They loved strips of carrot but when I tried them with carrot today it was ano from Olly and a few pecks from Sam and then no more. Heyho I will give them some apple tomorrow and see how that goes. it was a complete fail the first time I tried it !

Budgies go through fads and phases in my experience. What was "in" last week is out this week and something they've always refused to try suddenly becomes irresistible. Usually it just needs that first budgie to try it and all the rest will follow.

Was it easy to put together Marianne ? I have this one www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000WFG9IK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1and I can't put it together as the main poles and ladder are not slated at the bottom, I am hoping a friends partner can put it together for me as he is a carpenter I am going to ask him if he can screw it all together rather than use the glue that came with it, long as the screws are flush with the wood it would be ok wouldn't it or is it better to stick - pardon the pun - with the glue?

Screws are fine, but make sure they are stainless steel or they will rust. If you know a carpenter, get him to make one for you!

Mine was very easy to put together, it comes with little screws, I think it had an allen key too.
