I lost all my budgies and its my fault. I feel sick. Its taken me a while to make this post because I'm so saddened and visiting this forum just reminds me of my budgies. I am also ashamed that this happened.
On Monday morning I went to clean the budgies cage which they were moved into from the aviary to a cooler spot. I went to change there water and food and when I returned from the kitchen all 3 budgies were outside I looked at the cage and the door was open and I had my windows open because it was hot and humid.
I did everything I could think off to get them back but nothing worked. They disappeared into the trees and that was it. I went out looking for them. I saw Tweety flying in the other direction he was high up and I don't know where he went. I think Mango may have been rescued as I heard him chirping from a near by flat and I don't know how to get into the block or what block it was because I could not see him I just heard him and it was coming from one of the flats.
I heard Jessie calling but I could not see her my heart was breaking and I still can;t even eat or sleep right now. Mango and Jessie were a bonded pair and I know they will be heart broken to be apart.
I've put out some flyers in the local areas of the missing budgies but nobody has contacted me. I rang the RSPCA to see if anybody had handed in any lost budgies and they said they have one... it sounds like one of mine. The RSPCA gave me an email to send them photos but I've heard nothing back so I'll be paying them a visit to see if the budgie they have is mine.
I feel sick and very sad

That is indeed tragic. I hope you get them back. The weather in the UK is kind at the moment so maybe they have a chance of being found.

I can hear them calling there are at least two of them. I have had a look around the area and spotted the possible flat where they are. What do I do?
I don't know how to get into the block but I'm thinking I may need to inform the police. I'm going out my mind. They are still calling.

Thanks for the links. I've found a facebook group in my area and have posted.
There is still a small possibility I'll get them back. I only have a few photos of them so that is my only proof of ownership.

Just an update. Since I made my post who ever had them has let them go. I've just seen them and I've put the cage out with some food but they have flown the other way. I'm going out to see if I can spot them. Some people are so horrible. Rather than contact me they release them.

I am in north London.
Tweety has been sighted along with Jessie. I've been walking around the block, somebody else has joined the chase who has budgies as well they have put there budgies out in a cage outside to see if they come. They have been calling each other. Its now gone silent. I'll do another search once its dark just encase one of them is in reach to grab.
Somebody definitely had these because budgies don't survive in the wild for anymore than a couple of days.
I'm playing budgie sounds to try attract them. I hope they stay near by otherwise I've lost them.
I'm also getting straight on the phone to the RSPCA as one is very local to me and I think that is the most likely place they'll end up if anybody found them.

I hope you get them back. Do they know their names, if you’re out there calling them? Do you have any recordings of them chirping that you could play?
At least it’s mild, so they’ll be ok from that point of view. Maybe they’ll all find rack other

I can hear Jessie calling shes not far from my window I hope Tweety is still with her. There has been no sightings of Mango at all so I am wondering if he might be the lost budgie my local RSPCA has. The issue with Mango is that he is a common mutation, there will be lots of budgies with his exact coloring I may have a hard time proving he is my bird.
None of the budgies know there names and are not interested in returning to there cage I've lost hope in capturing them. All I can do is leave the cage out with there food in it.
Edit: update Tweety is still with her. They have flown towards the guy with his budgies outside in the cage so hopefully fingers crossed he might be able to capture them. I'm useless trying to get them back. I think he has a better chance. Jessie and Tweety were literally a few meters away from my window in the tree.

Anything you have that is familiar to them would be useful. If you have any recordings you made of them then play them and hold up their cage or put it high enough so that they can see it.

Oh gosh, what an awful thing to be going through. This is literally the scenario of OH's nightmares. I hope you manage to get them back. Crossing all the fingers and wings in this house.
