Thank you both. I am concerned about what ever I get stayed closed but the 'pod' ones do look more sturdy than he back pack type.

There is no way that the one I have could come open accidentally unlike the little cages with detachable bottom. Many birds have been lost due to the bottom coming unattached in transit with these. I have slotted a perch through between the slits and pushed it down towards the bottom, giving the birds something to perch on, but not too high if they do fall off en route.
I think this is also a much more robust configuration giving the birds a good degree of safety in case of accident or trauma.

Thank you again Hezz, I have decided that getting older has turned me into a panicky pet owner and I don't like it I have a found a vet near to me that has good reviews and have emailed them to register the boys as Olly has a minor problem with his foot. He doesn't seem to be in pain and it is not hot or swollen so I think he may have just caught it on something and it is more of an irritation to him that anything else. No spondulas until Wednesday but I have put Aspall Apple Cider Vinegar on the grocery delivery for that day, I dont have a dropper so will have to order one online and wait until I get it before I can start them on some Apple Cider goodness ! I don't have any Tumeric which I understand is good for inflamation so will get some of that too, I presume that any Tumeric is fine as long as it is pure. Also is it ok for the other budgie to drink the same water as I can't seperate them or the drinking bowls. Thank you both again it is lovely that I can ask questions and know that someone will understand my panicky thoughts and veering from a question about carriers to ACV and Tumeric lol

You can buy a small dropper for your ACV in any pharmacy.

Yes thank you Jellybean, unfortunately I find it very hard to get out on my own however I am pretty sure a neighbour would be happy to get one for me but if not I will get one online.

Both additives will be fine for the others to drink as well.

There are no hard and fast rules for either. What matters most is that the birds will still drink the water. Most of use an ACV mix of around three drops in 100mls of water. The turmeric may be better sprinkled on seed or some form of fresh food that can be moistened. You may find that added to the water, it doesn’t stay suspended in the water but settles out and you would have to stir it regularly.
