Our one is called Motorola MBP855 Connect. I can't remember if you can use it on the mobile or not, I wasn't able to fiddle about with it a lot before we used it. We have had it a year and a half but only use it at night to check on Eve as when she has a cold and coughs she vomits. I took some photos for you. Hippo, Bobby and Henley are in night mode. You have to have the camera plugged in at all times or the battery runs down really quick. But once you charge the monitor it goes for a good 4 hours without being plugged in. That looks a good, sturdy one, Marianne Marlow . Nice big screen too. Some of them have such tiny screens, which may be okay to view a baby/toddler, but not so good when looking for a budgie. I see it has the temperature, but the all-important question is... does it play lullabies?! For a second there I did wonder when you got the budgies Hippo, Bobby & Henley... Apparently my replacement is arriving today. I hope it works... I can't face the embarrassment if it doesn't..

Actually I think it does have lullabyes. Also a button to press to talk to the baby/budgies Henley would be a good name for a budgie..

Bobby is a budgie, but not a real one Is that Max with Bobby? Rose bought me a 'Bobby' as a thank you for letting her stay over. It's been sat by my telly for nearly 6 years (easy to remember the date as Phineas had not long passed). Blog post on 'Bobby'

I got the replacement camera yesterday & last night had the first successful viewing. I switch my phone off during the night, but when I woke up at half three, I switched it on & was able to check in without disturbing them. All appeared well. Here is how it looks: Both cages:
Zoomed in on P&L's cage. Cover over top third. This cage has the raised floor.
Should have done a full screen screenshot!

Me & my big ideas... Thanks to the monitor I'm going to have disrupted sleep! Last night, around 01:30, after reading for a bit, I thought I'd "check in" before turning my light off, to find Perry on the floor. I watched for a few minutes. I find that intervention at the wrong time can make things worse, so if he is settled, even if on the floor, then I let him be. Anyway, after a bit he wanted to get up on the perch but was struggling, so I went in to help. Managed to quietly get him to the top perch. I'm not convinced it was a seizure that prompted the visit to the floor... he's very wobbly & falls easily, so he could have just fallen. Anyway, I woke up again around 03:30... checked in... & he was on the lower perch. I decided not to intervene as he seemed stable. When I checked again as it was getting light, he was on the floor. I put him on the top perch where he appeared to stay until morning. He's currently having a doze in Moriarty's cage, having had some millet & water. Moriarty has invited himself over to Lennie's.

Yes that is Max. ffiscool gave me Bobby when I adopted Max. Eve called him Bobby. I love how Max’s face seems very expressive.

I adjusted the lower rope perch system. In the old days (not so long ago) he would shuffle along to the seed pot then jump up to the 'triangle' perch but he seems unable to do that now. Anyway, last night, before I went to bed he fell (definite fall, not a seizure) but didn't manage to negotiate the new route up, so I put him up on the top perch. During the night he must have fallen again as when I checked early morning he was on the rope perch, mid-level. He seemed settled. I offered him food/water, but left him there to go back to bed. The good news is that when I got up again, he'd got himself up to the top perch, so I think now he knows the route, it should be easier for him. That said, he's very wobbly this morning... He's in with Moriarty right now... gotta hand it to him... he's such a soldier... putting one wobbly foot in front of the other... & gradually turning each one of my grey hairs white...

An update on the baby monitor...
It is working well. If I wake during the night I can check all is well. If Perry is on a lower perch I watch for a bit to see if he is settled & if he is, I'll leave him be. The worst picture quality is that time when it starts to get light, but it's not a problem as it would be light enough for me to check on them without disturbing them by putting a light on (if you know what I mean).
Generally, I have it on 'private' & just switch on when I want to view.
An added bonus is that I can check on them whilst at my mum's (the sound is pretty good). It's certainly less faff than setting up my webcam.
It was a good buy!
