On Wed as I was covering the birds, Buddy was vomiting. Thurs morning, I called his vet for an appointment but she was out sick. They referred me to a couple other nearby avian vets. I got an appointment at 12:30 for the one closest to me. Buddy was acting fine, eating and singing. I took him in and she said he looked ok and maybe he just got a bit of bad food. He's been fine the rest of the day, no more vomiting.
It turns out that the vet was who I took them to when I first got them. She then moved to a different office that was a bit too far away so I switched to another vet. I really like her and now that she's close to me again, I'll take my guys to her again. So that part was lucky! I'll watch Buddy for the next couple of days.
Both the vet and her assistant said his feathers looked good, he was preening well and getting good care which made me feel good.

I'm glad Buddy is feeling more himself again. Such a worry when the get sick.
I cannot imagine being able to choose between available avian vets!

I'm glad you've made contact with your original vet again. I hope Buddy is fine now and doesn't vomit again.

Usually when I grab my guys to transfer them to the transportation cage, Buddy gives me nips of protest while Tweetie Pie goes for my hand like he wants to rip it off. On Thursday morning, Buddy bit me like he meant it! You know we always say budgie bites are like little pin pricks - huh!!!
Postimages is having connection issues. I'll post the picture of my finger later. Poor Buddy, maybe I was holding him uncomfortably around his chest. Needless to say the vet had no problem. She reached in, grabbed him and no bite.

I am pleased for you and Buddy that he is in fine fettle. Buddy must have given you a budgie hen bite; they don’t muck around!

Yikes! He meant that one!
I won't complain about the one Loric gave me when I collected him from his old home.

Yes, he broke my skin and it bled! Yep, definitely letting his inner hen dominate in those moments. Not fun, but I’m sure he has forgiven you.

Yes, he forgave me. Thursday, he was perching on my shoulder, head and arm but wouldn't go near my hand. By Saturday, he was back to normal and demanding my thumb to play with.
