Our family dynamics have recently changed. Buddy has always been people friendly. When he's out of the cage, he'll fly over to me and sit on my shoulder. Sometimes he'll jump up on my reading glasses and chew on the rims or preen my eyebrows. Sometimes he'll run down my arm to play with my thumbnail. If I'm knitting, he'll yell at me until I put my knitting needles down. I have a touch screen computer and he's gotten very good at riding on my hand while I use the computer. If I'm on a Zoom meeting, he comes over to check out the people. Sometimes Tweetie Pie will let out a few chirps mostly to check out where Buddy is. Buddy will fly back to TP to see if he wants to play. Then he'll come back to me. If he's in the cage, when I walk up to him, he'll jump on the cage bars right next to my face.
Tweetie Pie is my timid, skittish guy. He only comes to me if I'm holding a treat which he'll eat and leave. I do have him trained to hop on my arm when I first open the cage and I taxi him to the food dish on their playgym. Recently TP has started acting jealous of me and Buddy - he wants me to know Buddy is his bird, not mine. He will try to position himself between me and Buddy. He'll block Buddy's way when Buddy wants to fly out onto my arm. I've tried walking up to the cage, standing in front of TP and talking to him. Buddy will try to get between TP and me and TP will snap at him. I am however, trying to spend more time with TP, mostly when they are both out of the cage. I hope TP will one day want to sit on me.
Our love triangle - sigh!

It's interesting how different budgies can be. Maybe Tweetiepie will decide to sit with you. It will be worth the wait if he does. Criswell used to get jealous if Dexter came over to see me. He'd do a fly past and scare Dexter away, even if he didn't really want to sit with me himself. They are complicated little fellows.
