I am currently looking to buy a budgie but would like to get a sense first of the kinds of prices that people are buying budgies for, whether they were ordinary budgies, show budgies or rare budgies. Also, did you purchase your budgie/s from a petshop, a breeder or a regular person? Thank you~

Dexter was £15 from a breeder of ordinary budgies rather than show ones. Randolph Carter was a rehome through Gumtree and we paid £30 for him with cage and food. The other budgies I've had were free. All have been ordinary budgies, although our vet thought that Randolph Carter had some show budgie genes as he was huge, although didn't have all the extra feathers.

Eric and Monty back in 2009 were £25 for one bird or £40 for two I think. From a pet shop.
My current 10 are all rehomes. Peter is the only one whose owner asked for any money £20.

The budgies I have bought have ranged from £15 direct from a breeder to £50 from a shop. Most of my purchased budgies were £30. The majority of my budgies are rehomes/rescues.

I've had several that cost £20 from pet shops, one that was £30 from a breeder, and 2 that were rehomes given to me.
