Is it true that these are sex-linked traits and usually female? I have an opaline Pied that is also cinnamon. Is this unusual? Thank you Marianne

::)i love that boy of yours Marianne, he reminds he so much of the very first budgie i ever bought myself for my first aviary, i was only about 12 or 13 at the time, i'd never seen one like her before and had to have her even though the aviary wasn't even nearly finished yet LOL she was very like your boy, a beautiful Opaline Cinnamon dominant pied grey hen, i called her Willow.....there i go, waffling again

With sex-linked mutations like opaline, cinnamon & ino, females are more common because females can be produced if the gene only comes from the male. To get males of a sex-linked mutation the gene must come from both parents so the mother must be the mutation.
Your male's mother must have been a cinnamon opaline & his father must have been either visual or split for both mutations. One of his parents must have been dominant pied as well
It is quite common to deliberately combine opaline or cinnamon with other mutations like pied
