Many budgies are wormed when they go to a new home, either just before or just after with no ill affects. I see no reason for Piphans to be any different.

We got her from our neighbor that gpt her from a breeder that we know nothing about. The neighbor wanted a blue bird and then the breeder gave her a green bird. She found out when she got home. So i guess Piphans was in some cardboard box in the car on the way home. Piphans is a surprise bird Im so happy to meet Piphans and she is our bird now. Thats why find Piphans very special and love her. It was ment to be us

Imagine giving a bird away because they were the wrong colour that is just unthinkable to me.
She was lucky to find you though so as you say, it was meant to be.

Yes indeed it was Our neighbor dident knew how much mess a bird can make. And she is one of these people that cleans the whole house when she see a bit of dust. So that was also one of the reasons why she gave us Piphans. I allways wanted a bird but since i work 32-38h a week then i would hate my self for the bird to be alone in the day time. So it was perfect that my mother got Piphans since she is retired now. So she can spend more time with Piphans. Even if piphans dont like her that much, then piphans allways keeps an eye out for where or what my mother is doing My mood is better today since the vet told us there was no signs of worms on her droppings. He could not tell us what was wrong with Piphans but we must still give her this medicine for a week at least. 2 times a day. Also Piphans is still eating and drinking and started to chirp a bit today and show signs of getting better. She also started to eat alot of millets and she never touched it before. That seems strange. It helps out that other people wishes Piphans well Thanks

Piphans seems to be doing well. She dosent look sick anymore. But she is tired and passive due to she is also molting.
She missed most of her black spots in her head.
So being sick and molting was hard for her. We dont give her medicine anymore.
She eats and drink normaly and eats a bit of grated carrot. Flying and climping around on the playgrounds. But still resting/sleeping alot. She dosent chirp much. I guess thats part of being passive when molting. Each time i come and visit my mother and piphans then she want her head scratched. Then she leans her head up against my nose and lets me scratch her. I tryed to use my fingers but then she gets angry on me. This evening she was so sleepy after a long head scratch. So she sleeps like this

I've had a couple of budgies who've had one white long tail feather and one black one. And Boba's are a bit mix and match, too

Moulting affects my birbs in different ways. Some hardly seem to notice but there are some who appear to be less energetic than normal and do in fact act as if they are unwell.

See if she will eat some hard-boiled egg, or commercial dry egg-and-biscuit. If she is moulting now and has been sick, she may be needing a little extra protein to help her through. Or if she isn’t keen on either, a probiotic for a few days can help recover from both illness and the toll that medicines can take on their bodies. An easier solution might be some plain, unflavoured (no sugar) Greek-style yoghurt if she will eat it. The live bacteria in yoghurt acts the same as it does in a probiotic, the extra calcium will be good for her and the small amount of lactose she would get is minimal.

Allright i will tell my mother to hardboil a egg and give Piphans. I think Piphans has eaten eggs before, so that should not be a problem. Thanks for that good tip. Does she need to eat the yellow or only the white part of the egg or both ? We found a seed mix in germany that has eggs biscuits or dryed eggs in it but Piphans dosent want to eat these..she is a picky eater. Not all kind of seeds gets eaten. She sort out the best seeds and the rest ends up everywhere beside her mouth and belly Right now she eats this and loves these seeds
We also got some kind of paste from the vet that contains some sort of probiotic if i remember right. I will ask my mother tomorrow evening what exactly it was we got. But Its some kind of paste in a tube. So a littel hard to feed piphans. We had to catch her and hold her while we put some paste on a thin straw and try to let her lick or eat some of it.
Btw i found these Thats commercial dry egg-and-biscuit right ?

The pages are not translating for me on my tablet, but “aeggefoder” sounds like eggfood to me! If Piphans already eats hard boiled egg, this is the best, and she shouldn’t need the other. Mash the egg up well - both yolk and white, the yolk has most of the protein though - and give her just a small amount, obviously she won’t eat a whole egg in one day but it should keep okay for a couple of days in the fridge.
