A bit more information is needed before any advice can be given. What sort of grit are they getting; how do they access it?
The only grit that budgies should be given, and it is not necessary as they husk their seed, is oyster-shell grit otherwise known as soluble grit as it can be broken down by their gastric juices.

Unlike chickens budgies do not have to grind up their food in their gizzard to maintain themselves so do not require the amount of flint grit we would give to chickens.
Budgies de-husk (remove the shell) from their seed before it enters their digestive system which chemically turns it into a soup.
Oyster shell is a different ball game, it is not hard like grit and is broken down by the birds. Oyster shell is important in the make up of the budgies own egg shells so is very beneficial.
Basically budgies dont need huge amounts of grit
Hope this is of help
