I made a post about Griffin being the "pushover" of our Budgie group - not badly harassed, but shoved away from food and treats more often. He never has any wounds, though. I was wondering if he should be in a new cage with maybe Thunder or Willow. (Thunder is the next biggest "pushover" after Griffin, and Willow is the newest bird, so I thought she might be more of a "blank slate".)
We decided not to get a new cage, and Griffin has been fine. Actually, there have been a few occasions when I saw him sitting somewhere with Topaz and Basil. Meanwhile, Willow and Thunder were in the cage. Not sitting close together, but in the cage at the same time. I wonder if those two are bonding.

Budgies tend to sort things out themselves, in my experience. If you're wondering whether you should do something, you probably shouldn't. The occasions when you absolutely know that you should step in are thankfully rare.

I have tried to separate mine at bedtimes before due to the amount of chaos caused by one particular budgie (looking at you, Gwenhwyfar) but then they'll just start climbing the bars trying to get to each other.
I mainly only get involved when there's feather pulling, foot biting, or constant harassment going on (looking at you, Indie...), but sometimes interfere at bedtime if someone's got lost on the cage bars in the dark and can't find a perch because everyone else keeps shouting at them for getting too close, but they'd sort that out eventually.

Definitely - what Ira said. I have the same rules.
