Hello! Stumbled upon here wondering if anyone can help me figure out what exactly is going on with my budgie.
For around a month my budgie (Bibi) has been going in and out of good health consistently. Everyday is a gamble as He can either be fine, or very ill looking.
When he has his bad days, He still remains active, but cant seem to coordinate well with his flying and perching. He flys laps around the bedroom not wanting to land, and i’m forced to catch him so he does not fly into anything and hurt himself.
His legs seem very weak, he will sometimes lean on his perch or stand very wide-legged. other times he perches fine, tucks his head to sleep and perches on one leg. which should indicate hes comfy and all.
He has been taken to a vet and is currently taking anti-inflammatory medications, as we believe hes taken some kind of trauma to the head.these medications seem to kind of work.
he still eats and drinks, it has just become a bit of a challenge with his illness. One more note, this was recent but I notice whenever he does land after one of his flying episodes, he trembles in place seemingly struggling to keep balance for a few seconds.
I’m confused as to what exactly he may have, and why he has days of perfect health and others of poor. Ive noticed some improvements, but other symptoms seem to keep showing.
