I'm definitely not a morning person but then I wake up feeling awful, always with a headache and various aches and pains. Moan over The budgies were shouting for me to get them up as we have a lay in on weekends and get up at 8am. Of course each cage wants me to open their first but I can't do so until I have set everything up, bowls and play areas on tops of cages and curtains open. Some very impatient birds this morning, thinking if they climb up and down the inside of the cage they will find a secret exit that I have left open and can be the first one out! Prothall found one of those secret exits* one time. He showed it to some of the other budgies. That was an early start to the day, as I recall. Chaos. *There's a rumour that this was due to Daddeh covering up the cage the previous evening without checking he'd closed the side doors but I don't listen to rumours.

In your browser there should be an option to use "desktop mode" When you are in the reply box there is a button that says "add image to post".

Coco is snoozing. She's not long had some millet which I hand-fed her (she must be hungry!).
I don't know exactly what they are doing downstairs but I do know they are running rampant with no Daddeh down there to keep an eye on things. That's what they do.

Our deceased Green Cheek Conures would cling to the front of the cage, staring from behind the bars, their guilt-tripping gaze following us around the room.

Finkleberry just had a panicky 20 minutes trying to get out of Moriarty's chill-out cage (first time in there). He'd flown quite a few laps of the room, each lap getting lower, until he unexpectedly landed on the landing platform of M's cage. He ran in. Then within milliseconds forgot how he'd got in. Doh! He almost fell out by mistake. I don't think M need worry about anyone else stealing his special chill-out space!

sweetpea, mine quite often forget how to get out of the cage. Mostly when there is a friend on the side of the cage they are trying to get to. They only seem to be able to focus in the direction of the budgie and not where the exit is..

Budgies are rushing around like the little loons they are. It's been a disruptive, hectic morning! Chocobo sought refuge upstairs but it's a bit boring up there now so she came back downstairs. Coco is whistling and watching, she seems very alert, quite relaxed and very interested. In between the preening sessions, of course

Agree - they only look where they want to go & don't consider a slight detour might be in order.

Not right now but 12 years ago today. Monty, Hector and Sky were eating thyme. Well they were trying to, but Monty wanted to hog it all and chase the others away from it

I could hear Chocobo doing her crooning sound, the one she usually makes to Eeyore. Sure enough I saw Eeyore taunting Chocobo with his presence Mr Hibs tried to get involved but he removed himself when he saw how things were
