When Misfit, our newest Budgie, is stranded on the floor of the bird room (due to wings being clipped at a pet shop), she now understands that I want to help her. I didn't have to chase her when I picked her up earlier. She climbed onto my finger! Violet did the same when she was the newest. This is how we made friends with Barney. He crash landed and fell behind various bits of furniture and the hand went under and he hopped on in a bid to reach safety. Well done Misfit!

Babybird has a bowl full of small seashells placed on the floor to keep her busy. Now she just spreads all the seashells around the floor while she runs around and make some kind of victory dance with her head bouncing up and down We tryed to record it but the video quality settings was to poorly.
Edit : I found a video on my mothers phone. Just choose 1080 p on the link before you play the video
Here you see Babybird playing with the seashells and ends up balacing on a ball

Babybird is so cute. At first I thought she carried the ball away with her. Did she just kick it away?

I just sat in our back yard with Sprite for a few minutes. Now she is in her cage. Kona and Pepper (Cockatiels) are in theirs, for "Cockatiel quiet time".
The doors of the Budgie cage are open, but they want to be in there. The three females are sitting at one end of the cage; the five boys at the other.

Indie and Yuki are preening each other as if nothing just happened. Definitely not everyone flying around in a panic at 5am.

Ira A 5am night fright doesn't sound fun. It was my fault. I left the leaves hung up because they were right next to where the birds had settled to sleep, but one slipped out of the peg and hit the floor. I flipped the light on and after scooping out Yuki and chatting to Gwen they all settled back down quickly enough. Needless to say, we were then wide awake.
