Maybe Quincy is accidentally preening a pin feather and it's sore? Does Chocobo not take part in the Great Hen Project? Quincy always seems to be carrying a pinnie or two so you are likely correct. Chocobo chews food, unless she is tunnelling out a nest site. She lets the budgies do the grunt work on the furniture, fixtures and walls

loz Can you remind me where the name Isabeau comes from? Isabeau is a name with quite a long history and it's very old - 14th Century old? maybe -but I first learned of it from the TV series, Lost Girl. I really like the name

Four of my budgies are losing their minds.
I had been trying to surrepticiously feed some millet to Coco without attracting attention. It took ages but eventually I had Coco on the cushion next to me, happily feasting on a millet spray. That ended when Gurgeh landed on Coco's back. I let Gurgeh have some, and then Loric, Mr Hibs & Mhoram joined in. Gurgeh in particular was acting like a meth addict. They were tearing around trying to access the millet, budgies were landing on my head ... despite Quincy already being there .. it's been nuts.

A few budgies needed persuading in order to go to bed tonight. One of these was Finrod, who actually stepped up for the first time (non-millet inspired) and accepted a taxi into the cage. I'm very chuffed with Finrod

I don't like having eleven birds, which is fourteen pets total (three dogs). We should have twelve. Who owns eleven birds? Or fourteen pets? Any sane person would go ahead and make it twelve birds + three dogs = fifteen pets.

I just had Quincy on my shoulder, Coco booping my elbow with her beak and Chocobo perched on my knee. FOMO is behind all this attention, I'm sure of it

I knew that Willow would be the first bird to inspect the entire "hanging" perch. I can expect Basil and Topaz to follow. Kona briefly landed on it last week, but he disliked the movement and immediately took off. I used a spare toy clip to attach the other end to a corner of Sprite's cage.
