I've no idea what scared her. Could have been a noise from outside as the windows were open, due to the horrid heat. I was completing the bedtime routine yesterday and trying to get her to leave the main cage and go to her own cage. I put my hand in, she made a bite gesture, biffing my hand, then she ran off

Just now I looked at my hand and saw blood on it, at the base of the thumb. Quincy had chewed a(nother) hole in it. This happens because, due to an injury many years ago, the nerves in my right hand, wrist and shoulder don't register sensations very accurately. A downside to this, amongst others, is that a chewy birb can inflict a bit of damage if I'm not paying attention. I had a job typing this out as often when I try to use my laptop keyboard, Quincy wants to help. She's a bit of work at times

Not now, but at 6am Daisy had a night fright. I tried to calm her and she eventually got back on her perch. Chipper, who she shares a cage with, was fine. I was not able to cover her cage. Daisy would not blink at me, which I knew meant that she was still in a heightened state and would flap about if I tried to put the cover on. I put the lamp down a notch and closed the curtain, then went back to bed until 8am. Poor Daisy It's good to pay attention to what our little lovelies want and need, rather than to always stick to "the rules". I agree.

possibly. I believe many animals can see and sense things that we can't. She was visited by spirits of past Budgies, who only wanted to pass along a message: "More millet!"

Chocobo is teaching Quincy how to steal fried egg from Daddeh's plate. Or "steal back", as Chocobo puts it.

Gurgeh and Mr Hibs are having a friendly rivalry over Maddy Prior on a bookcase. Earlier, Gurgeh landed on my head, which was unexpected as Quincy was already there. He didn't stay long!

She just throws the almond around a bit and we tryed once to chop it, but Babybird just throws or flings food that isent seeds around. We also tryed to give her shreddet carrot but it just endet up on the wall and floor to clean up. Then she also graps the littel bowl with the remains and throw that on the floor. She does the same when i eat bread and she wants to taste, then she just destroys my bread in to 1000 crumbs
