It's like me when sitting at a bus stop and pigeons wander past my feet. "Sorry pigeon, I don't have any food" People must think I am nuts.

ONE of the silliest things I say during the winter months is
“Right let’s shut your cage door now, keep the drafts out” …HOW 🤦🏻♀️😂

I talk to the birds in the garden and at our allotment. I don't tend to see many birds when I'm out in the street but I do talk to them if I do. I say hello to cats when I see them, and I talk to the neighbours cat when she's in our garden too. There is rarely anyone out in the street at the same time as me though.
I have to be very careful in shops with music playing because if something comes on that I sing budgie words to for my boys I have to try so hard not to sing the budgie version. For example, Budgie Wonderland instead of Boogie Wonderland, and 'Budgie, Budgie, Budgie, you're so smudgie - to Abba's Money, Money, Money'

“Piper, I can’t find you; please move.” (A mostly-white budgie lost in the background of white (or should I say mostly-white, due to said poop) walls. For me, though, it is probably the silly cutie voice I use when talking to the little guys. I know what you mean Hezz , the issue for me is when I talk to the city pigeons and ducks the same way. Let's give the nice lady a wide berth I've had enough retail store jobs that this would not seem crazy to me, compared to other things I've seen people do!

I'm never going to hear ' Money, money, money' again

I have to go into the back garden every day to throw stuff into the compost bins or top up the birb feeders. If the pigeons are foraging, I always apologise to them for the disturbance.
Neighbours probably see this as confirmation that I've lost it.

Without birds, I probably wouldn't tell other females to sit on my husband and give him nuzzles, while I prepare the females' food and refresh their drinks. (Can also apply to dogs!)

"Will you stop shedding your leaves?"
Or today's: "Which one of you has pooed on the curtain?" *leans closer* "Nevermind, it's a moth."
