Hi iam new to the forum .my name is jayne.two weeks ago we brought a baby budgie from a breeder who has hand reared the little guy.He jumps onto my hand and sleeps in my scarf.he ate and drank from day one at home we were so lucky..fell in love with the little chap....last wednesday he climbed onto a bottom pearch in his cage which was only about 6 inches from the floor, fell asleep.after about ten mins he fell off the pearch fast asleep and broke his neck.killing him instantly.to say we are devasted is an understatement,we loved him so much.we have another budgie from the same breeder who is 6months old.he is completely tame and talks,he was the breeders pet.love him but still miss little chap.good luck with your little one and i love the forum.

Hi Jayne, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, that must have been such a shock. I've never heard of anything like that before. Poor baby... I'm glad you have another little one, that must be a bit of comfort to you. It's good to have you on the forum. Ruth
