I've just made up 150ml with 1tsp, which seems to be the right amount for my two water bottles. It looks like soup! - is it supposed to? How long should I give it to my birds and how often should it be changed? How often do you give it to your birds? My birds aren't sick but there have been a few vet trips recently so I thought I'd give them some just in case. Who knows if they'll even touch it. I was hoping it'd be flavourless and odourless as my lot are very fussy!

That is the recipe on the bottle. We can't get GA. so have never used it, but it is supposed to "assist the immune system to act quickly and effectively when the bird is invaded by any infections or germs. " I don't know about given it to them "just because". Someone who has used it should be able to help.

Here is mine. The dosage can be seen on the side which says... In Water: 20 grams per litre. In Food: Approx 1 gram per kg body weight. At this ratio it shouldn't thicken the water.

Ohh and it is intended for use for sick and stressed birds. Any medicine or supplement should be removed after 24 hours.

Ok, I thought I had read one of Marianne's posts a little while back, where she had given it her birds for no particular reason? I could be wrong though. I can't imagine it would harm them, but I'll remove it. One of the reasons I put it there was because I noticed a dark spot on my cockatiel's beak and thought it might be a deficiency of some kind. They don't eat vegetables as much as they used to.

But it's just like having cough syrup when we don't have cough They will get used to it and it won't make any difference when they are sick.

I'm just leaving it in there for the day. They seem to love it! They're licking the outside of the bottle and gathering around it.
I get what you mean BB, but think it'll be ok as it's mainly just vitamins, so not the same as becoming immune to antibiotics. I'll not make a habit of it though. Just making sure they're right as rain before I leave them for 4 months!
