Okay maybe more than a few FOUR surprises to be exact I have been worrying about the budgies in the aviary for a while now, ever since they lost Lilah. They all seem to be a bit lost, especially little Dex as he loved Lilah so very much There are four boys and only one girl, Daisy, in there so I came to the decision of getting two more hens, a choice of two for Dex to follow around lol. Now I went to the breeder that Alfie came from as I trust him and his budgies are well looked after. So he had put two hens in a cage for me to look at (they were both lovely)...then I considered getting a third hen so there would be 4 males, 4 females. So he showed me a few other girlies... Anywho to cut a long story short *ha* I was about to leave with three giirls and asked him how much he wanted for them, for him to say "Hmmm...zilch...nada...nothing!" Isn't he lovely!! Then the crazy man (just kidding ) said "do you want this cock? He would make a lovely pair with that hen...I said "ermmm no, I better not" but then he and my dad "persuaded" me to take him home too lmao! Enough rambling from me lol. Onto the photos! The gorgeous grey-green hen... DF Spangle hen: She is the noisiest hen I have ever seen, she spent the whole trip home ranting at me Finally the light green spangle couple, its hard to tell them apart sometimes ;D Cock... Hen... I have officially lost the plot

Nice birdies. The yellow hen looks like a handful. She's giving you "evils" ;D

Is it something to do with the wing markings being more faded? I think i definitely need better glasses sue

I think i definitely need better glasses sue The hen is a normal in that she has bars going up the back of her head as all normal budgies do. Opaline means that they don't have any of these bars at all on their head and neck Hope that makes sense ;D

Oh wow! Lovely birdies - agree with Sweetpea, what a way to lose the plot! Feeling very much the same but funds wont permit me losing the plot at present!
