We are not 100% sure if this little boy has turned into a girl. This is the picture taken near the beginning when we got billy. In the cage in natural light. Attachments:

A slightly better one. Looks like he/she's thinking what is she up to again? Now is it a boy or a girl I wonder? Attachments:

Now that's a good question.
We was told back in October half term (end of October) that the budgie was a he and was 8-10 weeks old. On this forum we was told that Billy was older roughly 4-6 months old and a boy. So we have had billy for 5 months so very roughly about 9-11 months. (that's if my maths is correct)
In January time we noticed that the beak area was starting to go pale, and at the end of last month we noticed that is a pale blue colour with white rings around the nostrils. Now we have had in this order 1 cock, 1 hen, 1 cock. Now the hen we had didn't really speak much but was very vocal and semi-tame, which of course this one seems to be going in the same direction.
Hope that helps.

Yes it helped and it appears that your budgie is a female

Thans BB, so billy will have to be renamed billie then. That explains the lack of learning to talk and the acrobatic displays we have seen. Shes having an afternoon nap part 3 only lazy girl we have.
