He is, thank you, Sarah. I told him had had a few fans on the forum. I do think he was a bit chuffed. Wasn't going to admit to anything of course.

He can't be openly chuffed, teenagers don't give away emotions... do they think it's a sign of weakness or something? They are like a whole different species that we don't understand apparently! Tell him he is allowed to be proud of himself and enjoy it, everyone else thinks he's great!

He got an email back from one of his aunts: "I had to open your speech at work as our computer at home is down. Now I am in tears, and my makeup is ruined! Thanks Cam!" One of his friend's (girl) mum said to me recently "boys will tell you nothing if they can get away with it (she also has two boys), but girls, a whole different story. Sometimes just TOO much information!" I am not sure which would be worse!!! ;D

Cameron is continuing his speech career with a win today in the regional finals in Rostrum's "The Voice of Youth" competition, which requires an eight-minute prepared speech and a three minute impromptu speech. Which means he is into the state finals in Brisbane (state capital) in July, against about 6-7 other regional winners from across the State. Who's proud? Not me, much!

Oh, wow, I've just gotten off the phone with my mum............. one proud Granny there to be sure! I do admit that the competition was pretty fierce, too. It could have been any one of three, so I am so chuffed that the front runner was my "little" boy. And thanks, Sam. You have backed a winner there.

His future is bright, he has made a fantastic start for himself Hezz. More nerve wracking days ahead for you though as you watch him I'm sure!

Only too true, Sarah! I got nervous talking about it to a friend on the morning! SHE got goosebumps!!! Lol! The photos aren't on the computer yet, but he looks so good in the formal blazer, tie, and long pants. My mum's comment from his Anzac day speech was he came over as 6 feet tall and about 30 (years old). Instead he is 16 (17 now) and about 5' 5".
