Hi guys, quick question. I eat steamed frozen veg and usually make too much...would this be ok to give to Daisy? as it pretty much keeps all the vitamins etc in or is it much better to give the "fresh" stuff from shops?
thanks

Steamed frozen vegetables without spices would be fine. But check the budgie safe vegetables in the health section.

I feed mine frozen veg, but only defrost it rather than steam it

Nat do you defrost it in sink/fridge/wherever or hot water? Want to start her on greens ASAP

Fresh and raw is probably best, but defrosted frozen is fine as well. You only need a tiny amount for one bird. An amount the size of your bird's head is more than enough for a day. I give mine vege in two sessions - one small amount for breakfast, then again later in the afternoon - to be sure it doesn't spoil.
Food and water contamination is the most likely way your bird will get ill through bacteria growing.
