hi im just putting up a new aviary and i want more birds,so far i have 4 girls and 5 boys,would it be better to have the same amount of boys and girls or more girls than boys,i dont really want to breed as i couldnt bear to part with them as they might go to bad homes,thank u

Hi China. As your not going to breed. It's not so important What the ratio's are. But as nothing is certain except death & taxes. You may change your mind in the future. If you do then even up the sexes. You will find it easier cope with. Yours B.J.

Number of males and females in an aviary is not an issue if you are not breeding.
In colony breeding it is advised to have the same number of males and females.
