This year i plan to grow my budgies veggies, all my gardens are dedicated to flowers which meant a lttle thought had to go into how and where they would grow. The corn plants will be planted out later this month in grow bags, 6-8 per nag as they need to be in blocks too help polination. Beet is growing in deep pots as are carrots Peppers are growing in 10" pots Parsnips are hidden in the back of a flower bed, these are for me not the budgies. Tomatoes will be grown in the greenhouse and outdoors What other veggies should we growing ourselves ?

Maybe I'll chuck some millet in some pots and stick that on the balcony too

Your this year's plan looks very good Barrie but what happened to the budgies you were growing earlier I did like the idea of home-grown budgies! ;D My guys favourites include peas and brocolli - as well as corn and carrot, so that is what I would be planting for mine. Home-grown millet heads are welcome even if they don't get to be terribly big.

Looking good Barrie. When I was a kid we had a huge vege garden out the back of the family house. Used to grow heaps of corn out there. It was great to play in once it got really tall. It's an attractive plant when grown in long rows.
