This one is beautiful and I think I have seen it here in some supermarket.

Mine are scared of red stuff. Strawberries, beetroot, you can forget it!

It's strange because most budgies love beetroot.

Mine don't like red food. I tried them with beetroot several times and the leaves too and they wouldn't touch it.

I can't believe they don't like beetroot. It must be Boo's absolute favourite. He goes mental for it.

You are not alone out there, Marianne. Mine have always ignored beetroot too. I do get a telling off if the fresh grass/seeds aren't in the cage fast enough. I think they are spending more time at the grass seedheads than they are in the normal seed pots. Even Mac, the dog, knows to stop at the two spots where I "harvest" my grasses - I collect them on our early morning walk.

Good. See my birdies are not weird! Can I have some grass seed too?

Wouldn't be terribly fresh by the time you got it - IF you got it! I wish I could oblige, there is so much there.
