Hi I've just joined the site. I've come back to the hobby after more than 30 years away. ::)Can someone tell me what a White blue is. I have seen a drawing of one and it looks like a clearwing blue. Can any one shed light on the matter

By the way, 30 years is a long time. How many birds did you have at that time

Hi, I had 20 to 30. mainly Lutinos with a couple of recessive pieds and a few normals. I also had Foreign Finch's and British Birds, which was a bit too much of a mix. I'm sticking to Budgies this time and concentrating on spangles and Clearflighted. I have 12 pairs of various types and 17 babies in thge nest at the moment.

Originally dilutes were called "Whites" or "Yellows" so the term White blue could mean a blue series dilute

Here is a Dilute Blue. I've seen this picture on the Budgie Place site but is is not a good example. Most judges would class this bird as a greywing

I have just posted it with "Image Code" and it is showing here from their link. There are always a lot of opinions and discussions about Dilutes, Greywings and Clearwings. I have seen some genetics experts to label a bird as Greywing but when asked again after sometime, they labeled it as Clearwing. It will be nice if you can share pictures of the all 3 mutations.
