iv'e just noticed BOTH the eucalyptus plants i got have greenfly, some of the growth on the euc's is going black, (of-which i pruned away - hope that was the right thing to do, i also tried to prune as much of the parts infected away as much as possible) i do have some greenfly/blackfly killer, but im not keen to use it. Any idea's?. I assume it's the green fly causing the blackening of young growth. (although not all the black growth has greenfly on it)

use a spray bottle with water and a little bit of washing up liquid.......this should kill them!
