That's a great cage, very beautiful and nice setup as well. It's good that Elfie likes it and has settled in very quickly

You are a good owner Moogie. His cage is soo well set up with safe toys and good perches. Elfie looks like a little prince in his castle. Glad he loves it.

What a shame all our budgies can't meet up for a budgie party! They'd love it, I'm sure.

Moogie, he is probably wondering how his house just got bigger! It is very similar to what he has and has all his favourite toys - he is in Budgie heaven!

Thank you outnumbered what a lovely comment Stace a budgie party would be so cool apart from elfs taste in music! I bet he is is thinking that Hezz ha ha I thought i would set it up exactly the same so he didnt freak or "sulk" and it seemed to work...xxx

Can I suggest though, that from now on in, up to and including getting Elf's new friend and quarantine, that there be no "normal" cage set-up? That way he will take to sharing his space much more easily, when the time comes. It would help too, if you could get a whole new and different set of toys for the big "coming together of feathers" with maybe just one or two familar toys to be included so Elf doesn't feel totally alienated from the familar. Some budgies get very territorial (usually hens) over their cages, and this is the best way around that problem. I change the setup of "our" ( cage every week, mostly so there is something new to explore/chew/discover/whatever and they don't get toooooo bored with life, so it isn't the same one week to the other. They are always very keen to explore the cage when I allow them back to check it out. And you will find that some set-ups are more popular than others, but hey, we can't get it right every time, can we?
