So Teddy is a brand new bear? It is funny how one special one seems to grab their hearts. Cam's was a puppy only about 5" high, from the op shop! No other beautiful or larger stuffed animal got between those two. (Secret - Puppy is still alive and well, hidden in his cupboard. Cam is 16, nearly 17 )

The pics are really lovely, they look great on your window. After a very hassled day with my kids today I needed to see something sweet like that. Maybe one day I'll be a grandma too, but if they make me one before I'm 45 I'll not be one bit happy!! My eldest is 16, nearly 17 like your lad Hezz, and I'm 38, so I think that's fair! (He still has a little teddy with a blue and white spotty body that I bought before he was born and it still sits at the foot of his bed) That is also a secret!!

I may just about be a grandmother by the time I hit 60! Late starter. Wow, your boy is brave, Sarah, having his teddy in full view! Does it go in the cupboard when mates come over?

No he's not ashamed of it being there!! It doesn't really get noticed I suppose as it's quite small, it was big against him when he was a baby though, very cute... It used to be a lot brighter blue too...

Thankyou Sarah, my girls always loved their Teddy's, copious amounts arrived when they were dating boyfriends as well ;D but then i guess its fine for us girls ;D. Times are changing i think, Dylan is only nine and i was worried about bringing him back a teddy from Wales a few weeks ago but he loves his bears and cant come for a sleep over without his favorite's. When he goes to cub camp they are encouraged to bring a teddy, i think that's lovely. Lucy is the teddy collector though, you cant see her in bed among them all so sweet. I still have bag's of them in the loft from my girls must sort them out.

I tried that, Skysmum, but didn't get very far! No, keep, no, keep, no, keep, aw you can't throw him out! Some of them are in pristine condition, as people supplied more and more, but my boys had their favourites and that was that!

Hezz i think mine are destined to stay in the loft in the bags, i just cant do it, i pulled out some of the really good ones and gave them to the children but my youngest daughter has yet to have a family so im hanging on to the others for her children. That's my excuse and im sticking by it ;D. I still have three very special ones that were mine, over fifty years old my girls played with them and the grandchildren have so they are very well loved and sit on a chair in my bedroom, one is a bald as a coot but i love them.

My 12yo's bear has had about three sets of ear replacements - he twiddled the ears as he went to sleep, lol, so I had to buy something as close as I could to the feel (it was all about the feel) so we, little boy and I at the time, walking through the craft shop while he twiddled the materials to make sure we got the right one! She also suffered open-heart surgery and partial decapitation in the course of her life, but Fluffy made it to when she was no longer needed, re-stitched for good measure, washed and dried and put away in a plastic bag with the others. His decision - it seemed he didn't want her out getting all dusty by not being used. That was about six months ago. I am sure the grandkids to come will appreciate your array of animals when they are of an age to do so.

I remember feeling quite happy that all the boys had to take a teddy on camp too- if they wouldn't want to admit to it otherwise, having a teddy to cuddle at night on the list of what to bring makes it completely accepted!

Hezz, one of mine has two old buttons for eye's and has had lots of stitching over the years, he's beginning to look a bit scary, a bit Frankenstein like ;D but we all love him . Sarah, i think its lovely too that they put them on the list, apparently they were all comparing Tedd's soo sweet . I wonder if they get away with it in the scout's
