Its been a very very long time since i have bred any budgies .
Ive put nest boxes up and one hen was in straight away kicking out shavings and have witnesed her and the cock mating this morning and without sounding to crude they were really at it and he was getting right under her for quite some time each time he was on her .
Am i right in thinking i should have my first egg sometime within the next 24 / 48 hours ? There is also plenty big soft poops from the hen .

Normally mine lay within 7 to 10 days of pairing up / first mating.

It's always difficult to wait for eggs, then to see if they are fertile, then to wait for hatching, then to see if chicks will survive. Welcome to breeding ;D it's fun
