My Robin peeping back at me. They nest just outside my window, they have nested hear for the last 4-5 years. Ive watched them for what seems like weeks, from the viewing to the building to the quite time of sitting on the eggs and now the feeding frenzy. They should be fledging very soon i think. Constant feeding going on. They even have on-suite facilities.

It is lovely BB but a bit of a worry. I caught a fox taking the baby's as they fledged last year. My dog woke me at 5 one morning barking and i came down to see Mr fox grab 2 at once as they were dropping out of the nest. I had to stay around for the rest of the morning keeping a look out, 4 got away and i kept an eye until they left my garden. They usually have a second clutch later on in the same nest. Its heartbreaking when they have worked so hard. But fascinating to watch when all goes well.

It's sad but it's the nature, some survive and some don't. Wild animals are dependent on each other for food. It's great that people take care of wild birds, so did you

Where do they eat from? I know people in west hang these in thier gardens and back yards.

Isn't he gorgeous! And don't the parents have a hard time of it back and forth with food? I can handle the rest of nature's wicked ways, but baby birds being taken I find too cruel for words - I do have to interfer too. At least some made it safely. So six to a nest ...... is that about a normal sized clutch?
